Completed in 2024, New Acres is one of London’s largest regeneration projects, delivering over 1,000 new homes, public spaces, and improved river access in Wandsworth. Terrapin led extensive political, stakeholder, and community engagement throughout planning and construction.

Completed in 2024 New Acres is one of London’s largest developments and is an example of place-making at its best. Sitting across Swandon Way it marks the regeneration of two former retail sheds with the added challenge of cleaning up some contaminated land. New Acres comprises 1,034 build-to-rent and affordable apartments in 18 separate buildings. In addition to a significant contribution to housing delivery there are new landscaped public spaces and enhanced accessibility to Wandsworth’s riverside and will deliver a major boost to Wandsworth town centre. Terrapin carried out extensive engagement and consultation with key politicians, stakeholders and local community groups, including regular newsletters to neighbours during the construction phase.
