The first meeting of Wandsworth’s new planning applications committee saw Terrapin secure its first successful consent under the new administration. Sensitively designed by Avis Appleton Architects for developer Languard, the scheme will deliver a new four-bedroom house in Alternburg Gardens, Battersea, close to Clapham Common.The site is located within a conservation area and sits adjacent to listed buildings. Despite objections from heritage groups, Terrapin advised Languard on a successful planning and design strategy that overcame concerns and achieved a swift consent.
The house represents phase one of a two-part scheme. Proposals for the second phase will follow, bringing forward three additional high-value homes.
