The site was very controversial locally following the demise of a long-established public house. After a previous scheme, including a new pub, proved unviable, this development was brought forward. The original derelict building will be replaced with two new buildings ranging from 3-11 storeys, providing 104 new homes, a new courtyard with generous communal amenity space and two flexible spaces for commercial or community use. Terrapin’s insight in political and stakeholder consultation over several years was a key component to obtaining the consent on a site which had a history that attracted strong local feeling.- Location
